I think that's a quarterly payment rather than monthly? Have you reached an age when you shouldn't be paying any longer?

No such age now Ele

No, I'm in my late 30’s 🤷🏽‍♀️

I'm not sure what that amount is as I've just checked my account and the quarterly payment is £40.62.

I'd check directly with the licence people in case it's some sort of scam - not sure what or how it's meant to target you but you can't be too careful.

And I didn't realise there was no cut off age nowadays. I think the BBC is a busted flush anyway nowadays.

So I got the attached letters from TV licence today both dated 28/07/21. I still haven't had the chance to call them yet.

Is it because at least some of the direct debits for the tv licence pay in advance (that rings a bell with me), so if you’ve had 2 payments declined they’ve refunded what you’ve already paid towards next year’s licence and will expect you to pay the full amount when it becomes due?

Yes. I think it's for that reason too.

Yeah that looks like it to me as well @TreaterAnita. You can contact them now and see what arrangements you can make to still pay monthly/quarterly or just wait until next year when you'll be due for the next years licence but might not have the same payment options.
