I was cringeing for her when she asserted that immigrants get UC and whatever other benefits, then when she was challenged and gainsaid, all she had was "But I read it yesterday".
Mike Parry is another one who will bluster so confidently about something as factual and then, when challenged, will backtrack with "Well, I would have thought that.....".
Not that the lefty ones don't have their moments too - Owen Jones is often (unintentionally) hilarious and Yasmin AB can be very patronising indeed (although I agree with her views more often than not).
I'd like to know how many regular callers they have, as it always seems to be the same few people. Do they have a small pool of callers in the first place, or do the 'regulars' have a special hotline that automatically overrides anybody calling on the standard number?!
By far the most consistently fair, sensible, rational, realistic and intelligent person on the show is Storm. If/When Jeremy decides to retire, it will be an absolute travesty if they don't offer the eponymous/main presenter job straight to her.
