I’m really enjoying this. I loved the first one and was worried the second would be a decline in quality but it wasn’t!

Looking forward to the third now!

Have you seen it?

What channel?

Soubriquet · 15/07/2021 07:37

I thought the second one was better than the first - really looking forward to the last one tomorrow.

They are a bit predictable, but I love the nostalgic point horror theme. So much fun!

Also we think Nick is evil, right?

Soubriquet · 15/07/2021 07:42

Oooo hasn’t even crossed my mind but that’s a good angle

I wonder what eventually stops the curse though

I wonder what eventually stops the curse though i have no idea on this one!

I also wonder how Sarah picked the names on the wall as opposed to those who just disturbed her grave or bled on her bones

@SushiGo That's brilliant! Hadn't thought about it but now I'm thinking something definitely happened in the 1970s between him listening to Ziggy and dropping her in it.

Didn't like film 1 all that much because I thought Deena (the main character) was annoying but I enjoyed the second one. Love 70s horror anyway as well.

I've watched 1666! Very satisfying.

Just finished it

Interesting twist

I think when I get round to it, I’m going to have to watch all 3 again in order.

As a massive horror fan I was disappointed in all 3 of them. The first 1 was okay - the second was better and then the third was just allright. The idea behind them was great and I love the nostalgic theme, but was sadly left feel let down.

Also a massive horror fan, but I loved them. I loved the books as a teenager.

I was a massive horror fan (slightly less stomach for it now I have kids!)

If you're coming to the series cold as an adult I'm not sure it would be as fun as if you read the books as a teen or are a teen now. There's a lot packed in there that's really about who gets to be the final girl. Not about trying to make the audience utterly terrified.

I loved the books when I was young because they were one of the few places you knew the female leads would save their own damn selves, and I really like the way the films updated what was fresh and exciting about that in the 90s to include LGB teens. Interesting article here about the lesbian romance side.
