@JacquelineCarlyle Hugo is popular, people like him and want him to stay in so they'll have voted on that basis. Rather than cos they think him and Sharon are compatible.

@ListenLinda @HugoToWin I'm not convinced it is the baby cos she flew to Majorca and took the baby. I wondered if she can't go in as she'd be an infection risk? Flying between London and Majorca all the time? I'm assuming they all isolate for 14 days before they enter so they don't take covid into the villa and ruin the show.

Finally a good twist but I'm surprised that Brad and Lucinda are the bottom couple ahead of Chloe and Tony and especially ahead of Sharon and Hugo! Who would be voting for Sharon and Hugo?? And why?!

(In a previous series, I used to post what teen DD told me 'everyone' is thinking (teen, based on following the goss online) but I was told off about it, on the grounds that anyone can find that stuff out, no need to post)

Thanks @ashmts & @AuntieStella - I can see Hugo seems a nice enough guy but he does nothing for the show - no fun, no gossip & picking Sharon seemed strange to me after the 'fake' argument so I don't get why anyone would like him enough to vote for him .

I had a quick look on Twitter last night and most wanted Chloe and Toby (or rather 'Aldi Wes' as they've named him) to be bottom and there was lots of support for Hugo.

I’m guessing Brad and Lucinda will do “rock paper scissors” to decide who leaves.

I don’t like Hugo or Sharon. Sharon feels like she is up herself and just not a very nice person. Hugo is dull. They provide absolutely no entertainment.

I kind of want Lucinda to go as I don't think she will crack on with anyone whereas Brad ...

I would like to see Lucinda go (on the basis that she's not an original) and then she walks out with her suitcase as we cut to two new female islanders strut in, "Hi boys!" and then see Brad does that blow-y thing with his lips. Just before the break we get a preview of Brad in the diary room saying, "I cant believe it, I've never fancied someone like this before".

I think Lucinda will stay - there’s no else in the villa for Brad.
And then either:
she will then look to Aaron. He’s good looking (like Brad), a bit older than her (like Brad), they would look good together, and he comes across well in the show (unlike Brad).
Or: Teddy will make a play for her

And until she’s safely coupled up Libbie won’t let Jake out of her sight!

I think Toby and Chloe have to double down now & make the viewers like them as a couple. The public won’t stand for them skittering off yet again!

@wedswench Brad’s from Amble, perfectly acceptable to think he hasn’t had sex since 2019, there aren’t many people there! As for a walking STI that’s a bit of a stretch for the same reason. It’s 30 miles or so to Newcastle which is the nearest party city but transport options are so limited he probably just stays local.

They could just both stand there in silence, looking at each other and slightly indicating with a nod that it's time for the other one to walk.

It's a great twist. And just when I start to feel worried sick about how awful a decision it is, I remind myself that this is just a programme, they've had time in the sun and it's not actually life or death.

I don't see how they can make a decision without stalemate. They will both have their own best interests at heart. It's a strange idea and there has been a of misunderstanding. It reminds me of the Georgia and Sam thing from season 4 where they could stay together or leave together but not couple up. I don't understand why the show is forcing couples to split when they probably will naturally anyway in 3 days giving much more entertainment value. I like the entertainment value of Brad and Lucinda even if I don't particularly like either of them.
