I'd tried rewatching it when it came back terrestrial telly but it was on every day and I couldn't keep up .
I still love it.

Rewatched the first one last night. SO funny and a great cast. The facial expressions alone are a hoot.

It was on offer on Amazon recently so I bought the first few series. So funny and so radical. But I hadn't realised when I watched it the first time how young they were!

The Golden Girls is my absolute favourite. I bought the entire series on DVD years ago, I actually had to buy American copies as they weren’t available in the U.K. at the time. It holds up amazingly well, still so funny and relevant.

They dress so old but I remember one of them saying she was 55

Yes I saw this news today. Just finishing a full desperate housewives re watch on Disney plus. Looks like I now know what will be next (after scandal...)

My gran and I used to watch this together. Think we started when we were on holidays in the US. Brings back lovely memories of cuddling up in bed with her. I miss her so much. She was my best friend.
My oldest DD and I often sing the song to each other.

When this was on TV I had a 4 year old in my class whose parents used to record this for him. It was his favourite programme but I can't imagine why.

Oh brilliant! Love the Golden Girls so much.

Last year Channel 5 would play two episodes at lunch time and it gave me GREAT JOY. But they only had the rights to the first couple of series.

Such a funny show, has held up really well. Good writing always does though!
