Black summer netflix

Just popped it on as it looked like it could be good. It's meant to be a zombie apocalypse type series.
I'm at 20 mins of the first episode and it is sooooo bad, the acting is horrendous and hammy and looks of screaming .
It's like an over the top pantomime. Terrible

Anyone else seen it?

DH is currently watching it. It’s absolutely bonkers. The episode he’s just watched is hands down the most stressful TV I’ve ever seen. And I wasn’t even watching it properly.

I raced through Series 1, absolutely loved it. So tense.

Struggling a bit now with Series 2 but will keep going.

I loved series 1 and 2. I like that there is lots of running and it's fast paced. I think that is more realistic for a zombie world. Also, that people make quick decision on whose side they are on with conflict. No room for loyalty, just survival.

I like it, Season 2 is very good, better than Season 1.

I agree, stressful to watch at some points but that's in part why I think it's good. Unlike other Zombie blockbusters like WWZ and TWD/FTWD Black Summer gives that sense of relentless struggle to survive the savagery of zombie's and of human beings under extreme pressure.

Season 1 is the start. Season 2 is where it really feels apocalyptic.

Having never previously been a lover of the zombie genre, I've found myself watching Black Summer and Z Nation over the past couple of months. I may start watching Walking Dead yet.

Oh I loved oh OP! We watched both series over 3 nights! I didn't think the acting was bad at all

We hated it. Tried to get into it twice and turned it off after a few episodes.

We love TWD and FTWD though. Different league altogether.

If you don't mind subtitles, te best zombie series on Netflix is Kingdom.

Also Ash vs The Living dead is a tongue in cheek, very funny, but very gory, zombie series.
