The Countess and the Russian Billionaire

I think it must be a repeat from a couple of years ago but did anyone watch it? What an eye opener. I was fascinated by the childrens clothing like what the Royals wear but 24/7 £79.99 for a toddlers blouse 😯

The Billionaire was creepily attractive and there was something not quite right about the wife. I wonder what the update is?

I saw it and thought the whole thing odd, I struggled to believe either of them

I’ve been following her in Instagram for a couple of years. It sounds like it hasn’t been easy but I guess she has help from family and friends.

Hasnt been easy? It must be terrifying but she didnt seem that worried to me. They were so exposed on tv.

What a bleak programme. I think that dear old Alexandra will struggle by though: turns out that she is the step-granddaughter of Patrick O’Brian, who wrote the Master and Commander series of books. She gets royalty payments and inherited a share in his estate, with which she bought her cottage in Oxfordshire (easily worth £800k).

I didn’t like her at all. She and Sergei Pugachev weren’t married. She has the entitled air of someone who chases wealthy men. When the cameras filmed the scenes in the chateau, it was obvious that her Russian oligarch didn’t care for her but wanted access to the children.

All the whining about how stressful her life was and how cruel Pugachev was for depriving her of a house in Chelsea and unlimited spending money because she wouldn’t let him see the children. You don’t get to be an extremely rich Russian oligarch by being a nice kind man, and that kind of money comes with strings attached. Did she really expect to happily spend Pugachev’s billions, no questions asked and no risk?

And that Count Tolstoy title her awful father has adopted is fake. Like those sad sacks calling themselves the crown Prince and Princess of Greece: meaningless.

Absolutely true, all of it. You see through people, which is a massive bonus!

I watched this when it first came out and came to the conclusion that it was an attempt to publicise a rift/separation, for obvious reasons.
