Is anyone else watching or re-watching? I love SW but never watched it so early on. Maybe from the early 2000s?

Blimey, first 2 episodes of Series 1 are a bit disturbing and show scenes (child murder related) that I think they would film more sensitively these days.

Amazing and interesting to see how such a long running series has changed and developed…

Love Amanda Burton though!

Sadly I'm in Ireland and can't get the BBC iplayer but would have seen the earlier ones starting Amanda Burton ( she seems to have disappeared off our screens )

I started watching them last night. Much more gory and graphic than nowadays!

Amanda Burton was in the recent series of Marcella.

We're onto S5 so far. Very much with the casual racism and sexism and Amanda Burton is desperate to do all the policing yet bogged down in actually having a day job as well.

Started watching but then got hooked into all the old episodes of Waking the Dead. Bloody fab!
