I thought the jealousy issues was just something she made up to Kevin as a reason they were seeing councillor? She’s been “caught” by Kevin so needed to at least put a spin on it so that she wasn’t at fault and it was all johnnys issue because she was SO attractive. I think the reality was he just got sick of her.

We only saw them together a couple of times and they were clearly unhappy - when Kevin was hiding in the garden and they were rowing and even after the split it's clear they don't get along. I think the implication is that Johnny had just had enough and ended it, maybe he threesomes a last ditch attempt to save it?

Johnny had jealousy issues yet was into having 3sums with her & the squaddie they mention in s1. I don’t understand why people here are blaming Amanda, we can see his behavior towards her when he unexpectedly comes home as Amanda talks to Kevin. She has him hide so Johnny won’t get the wrong idea & although he never sees Kevin, Johnny is already in a bad mood & mistreating Amanda from the second he walks in the door. Obviously we saw the least of it, you can tell she’s scared & uncomfortable as soon as he comes in & doesn’t even want him to see her crying because she knows he’d get mad over it instead of comforting her. Basically he’s a PoS & Amanda deserved so much better.
