Anyone watched it yet?

It was released for all view on Disney+ today so I sat watching it with my kids.

I really enjoyed it. Sobbed at the end. My kids were HmmConfused. They didn’t get the whole sad parts but they enjoyed the film anyway

Trying not to give away spoilers in case you haven’t seen and just wanted to know if it’s worth watching

Just watching it now. Love it.

BingBongToTheMoon · 04/06/2021 18:28

We bought it when it was first released,
I howled at the end too.
It’s become one of my DD’s favourites,

Soubriquet · 04/06/2021 18:32

I knew i didn’t have to wait too long for it to be released on Disney so I waited for it.

I didn’t want to pay £19.99 for premium Disney either but I was tempted to buy the dvd. Wish I had now.

I’m now excitedly waiting for Cruella

I also sobbed at the end, but so did DD who’s 5! We really enjoyed it.

I don’t fancy Cruella at all.

Yes we loved it. My 4 year old thought it was a bit scary Grin

Soubriquet · 04/06/2021 18:35

No?

I thought it looked good. I really enjoyed maleficent so hoping that was sort of the same thing

My ds (6) also thought it was a bit scary

Which is weird cos he loves all of the Jurassic park franchise. Odd child

@Soubriquet I've just come back from seeing Cruella. It's so good I wish I could go and see it again this evening. I'm going to go again by myself. Can't wait for it to be on Disney.

But go and see it at the cinema. It cost me £22 compared to 19.99 and it was so, so, so worth it. It richly deserves the big screen because OMG the costumes, sets, all of it. And the SOUNDTRACK ! That also richly deserves to be heard on a cinema surround sound.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2021 18:54

I have no babysitter and I don’t really want to take my kids to watch because they will be a pain in the ass Grin

Aww bummer

ForgedInFire · 05/06/2021 19:19

We also waited for it to be included on Disney+ but if I knew how much I was going to enjoy it, I probably would have bought it. Great film. So nice to have an original idea from Disney rather then sequels or remakes! I know they made Onward last year and we actually did manage to see that in the cinema just before lockdown but we weren't crazy about it. Looking forward to seeing Luca as well.

Soubriquet · 05/06/2021 19:22

Yes I saw an advert for Luca today. That looks good too

Thinking of watching with my 4.5 yo twins tomorrow if its rainy, would you say its pretty scary, or too grown up? They aren't easily spooked usually.
ForgedInFire · 05/06/2021 19:35

My 4 year old wasn't scared by it but she got a confused over the plot a few times. However she loved the dragon and that seemed to make up for it

Soubriquet · 05/06/2021 19:36

Yeah I don’t think it’s actually scary but the storyline is hard to follow for little kids

However, it’s made up by the beautiful pictures

I took my dd 7 and 9 to see it at the cinema yesterday. We all enjoyed it and I particularly loved the dragon and the scenery! Lovely film.

Amrapaali · 05/06/2021 20:12

DD (15) and I saw it yesterday at the movie theatre. It was truly stunning! We were saying there had to be more scenes with the Dragon.
