Recommendations please! I'm stuck in with covid and feeing sorry for myself so looking for something to watch. I enjoyed line of duty, sons of anarchy, the tunnel, innocent etc. Would prefer something that's just a one off rather than lots of series'. Open to all recommendations though as I'm bored out of my tiny mind!

The Queens Gambit netflix
Motherland bbc and netflix

Sorry both are series but quite short not a major commitment.

Hellocatshome · 29/05/2021 15:24

Sorry my suggestions are longer but things you can dip in and out of. Brooklyn 99, Superstore, Dark Tourist

“Save me” on Now TV is worth a watch and only 2 seasons.

www.imdb.com/title/tt6538034/

If you have a strong stomach, Zodiac and Se7en.

The first feature length episode of The Night Of is worth watching as a stand alone, in fact it went a bit wrong as a series, I thought.

Would you do a 3 hour series? The BBC adaptation of And Then There Were None is excellent.

clpsmum · 29/05/2021 15:31

Yes I'll try and then there were none. Thanks everyone for your suggestions I think I've seen most of them Confused didn't realise I watched so much telly!!!!

"Halston" on Netflix. It's a masterpiece.

DNA on BBC iPlayer. It’s a Danish one off crime drama about a police detective whose baby daughter vanishes onboard a ferry. It’s really good.

sunshineandshowers21 · 29/05/2021 16:28

have you watched mayans mc? the spin off of sons of anarchy. it’s on iplayer. i’ve just finished watching it and really enjoyed it. slightly different vibe to soa but very good.

SteveArnottsCodeine · 29/05/2021 16:31

It’s a Sin on All4. Amazing, short but amazing.

Queer as Folk and Bob and Rose by the same writer- Russell T Davies. Again, short “one offs”.

TheCatsPjammas · 29/05/2021 16:31

The Investigation. Danish/Swedish, based on the real-life killing of Kim Wall. Amazing crime drama, totally different from your usual Nordic things as they don't show any of the crime itself and never show or even name the killer. Was made with the cooperation of Wall's family and the police officers involved.

I watched Mallory Towers ( on CBBc, but still good) and Shakespeare and Hathaway when I was in a similar situation.

If it’s still on Netflix, can recommend Turn Up Charlie with Idris Alba which has a comical touch to it,
