Britbox. The Beast Must Die.

Episodes 1 and 2. Ok‐ish police drama, have watched what's available. Where's the rest of it? How do I find out? Bugger it, I'm irritated and want to know what happens.

Found it. Next 3 episodes will be one per Thursday. That is a damned nuisance and not what I want from streaming. Still irritated.

I loved it so far-mostly- but the one episode per Thu is very irritating. Cush Jumbo is wonderful in this, though the storyline seems a bit contrived, but it's based on a Cecil Day-Lewis book. Marvellous scenery.

Agreed. I was enjoying it which is why I'm irked by the weekly thing. Why on earth would they do that? It's not as if they've got peak time advertising to sell.

I love Cush Jumbo I'm gutted that she's left the Good Fight, she was the main reason I watched that program. Now I need to watch this new program. How does Britbox work is it pay per episode or a subscription?

If you get your broadband from BT then you can get a 6 months free trial of BritBox Buttercup. Otherwise it’s a subscription like Netflix - a few quid a month and you can cancel when you like. I think that’s the answer to “why are they doing it one episode a week” - it forces people who only want to watch that to shell out for at least 2 months.

Not enjoying this.... find it quite slow and boring...

On episode 4 here and enjoying it, had already used the 6 months from BT but have just got an offer of £3 for 3 months. Final episode is next week if anyone wants to watch it all if there is a free trial period available.

I finished the series: finale was yesterday. V much enjoyed it. The plot is full of holes but Cush Jumbo is a fantastic actress, and Jared Harris an enjoyable villain. Gorgeous scenery.

Isle of Wighter here, it was all filmed on the island there’s been so much about it locally I feel like I don’t need to bother watching the actual program!
