I've almost finished watching this channel 4 series and it is fantastic! Anyone else?

Just finished it too. Have not enjoyed anything as much in ages. The music was great and such a good cast. Just wish British series weren't generally so short. I managed to drag it out to 3 days, but all done in a weekend.

Started watching yesterday. V funny - love the main character and the really feisty one with the brother.

Ok. I've watched it all. I love it and I had a proper almost-cry-but-not-really- because-that's-not-punk moment right at the end. Awesome telly.

I find myself humming "Bashir with the Good Beard". Love the main character's fantasy sequences - and her parents. All the characters, in fact. Bring on series 2!

After your recommendation I went to add Never Have I Ever to my list and realised I’d already seen it but didn’t remember what it was called.

I’ve just finished Shrill, that was good.

Great show. Binged it over two evenings and would like to have seen so much more. Very clever writing, great music. I love the drummer's make up, she reminds me of Siouxsie Sioux.

Am Muslim and my God they are the band that I dreamt of existing as a teen. DH and I loved this series, sooo good. There's a soundtrack for it, I've been listening to it on Spotify I literally have Bashir with the Good Beard in my head all the time now haha it's such a tune.

Long time since I wanted more and that was after watching it all in one go.

Have seen the first couple of episodes and can't wait to keep watching more. I love the intense period cartoons, the parents undermining Amina's chance of getting married, the butcher - it's so good.

Oh my god we've just started watching it. I FUCKING LOVE IT SO MUCH.

it's funny, it's real, the fantasy sequences are on point. I like that Ahsan is actually a nice, funny guy who just isn't on the same page as Amina and not a himbo.

We've binged this over the past week - absolutely loved it! So, so good.

They had me from the moment they did the Proclaimers in the car.

Ahsan's hair is also positively on Dev-Patel-in-David-Copperfield levels of gloriousness.

Just finished it, and OMG it's perfect. I could just go back to the beginning and watch it all over again. I so much hope there will be more.

Okay, this is really bugging me. I rewatched it all and I still can't make it out. What does Amina shout at the end, after she throws up?!
