I think the Meena ‘actress’ (I’ve rarely used the term so loosely) is more likely to be younger than she looks - and is cagey about her age so that we won’t work out that she’s actually about the same age as Manpreet’s daughter, making a nonsense of the idea that Manpreet and Meena are only a few years apart in age.

It’s so weird that both she and Mackenzie were cast around the same time and the producers choose age-inappropriate actors for both roles. It seems to me that they had a plan for the characters and just needed a backstory to introduce and integrate them, so ignored the practical issues.

I would blame casting during lockdown for the age discrepancies but as they had already had a story about Vanessa and Tracey fighting over a Barbie car even though Vanessa would have been 16 I can't!
