Why do Corrie want us to hate people in crisis? Why do they make Leanne, Nina etc so unlikeable? Do they know it’s possible to grieve/be stressed but not be a total arsehole?

So true. We end up losing all sympathy for them.

Yes it’s annoying me how they’re having Nina behave.

Loved Evelyn saying to Alina that it must be nice having other children round when she said she’d been having fun with the girls! And the actor playing Ty did a good job of defending his outfit!

No way is Daisy raking it in with double glammy and will soon have the money to help Jenny buy the pub. Was that the plan all along? Get into the pub, split them up and buy the pub with dodgy cash? That bloke she met up with is part of it I'm sure.

I did laugh at the other children to play with comment. Though to be fair she is spending her own money to buy him trendy clothes he’s not spending own money.

I do love the way Roy is direct with Nina in ways he’s not with other people so nice to see.

Please! make the writers give Bernie a stonking makeover and knock Dev off his feet! I know it should not be about looks etc etc but they seem to be liking each other more than they admit and if she turned up all glam and shiny haired I would love to see his face. Talk about the odd couple! Maybe love is in the air.

I didn’t realise it was Alina spending all the money. Where is she getting it from? She is a machinist in the factory? Or is she doing the eyelash thing full time now?

I thought she was a marketing executive or something in the factory. Poor summer, I'm going to feel sorry for her.

Roy's speechette about Nina losing three people and Carla trying to have that heart-to-heart made me think about how many characters in Corrie have suffered traumatic losses.

I can't think of many that havent, tbh.

I agree it's a bit crap they've made Leanne and Nina so unlikeable. Could they at least go through some of the stages of grief? The writers only seem to do 'anger' for female characters.

See my first thought was that all Alina's spend was going on a credit card of future doom.

His leap was either a happy accident, or many takes! Nina needs to listen to Carla. Death of a young partner is so common in corrie...sawphie, Jonnys daughter, Kevin, Fizz Dev, Aliya....who can't give advice. And the orphans...Summer can advise on that, in two languages. (I think a lot of kids confuse languages in exams)

I remember when we did our French oral O Level (many decades ago! 🤣). My best friend came out and told us all we would have to talk about our families and that she had said 'Mon pere et detectif' and we were all very intrigued...is your Dad in CID then?' 'Of course not, but who knows how to say 'sheet metal worker' in French?' 🤣🤣🤣🤣

The bloke who did my French oral had the broadest Brummie accent ever and spoke rea...ll...y sl...ow...ly. No wonder I got an A!

Is Summer still on GCSE? Even though hadn’t worn school uniforms ages? Can’t cope another two years of have you done your homework scripts.

I hope the younger cast like Amy and Asha get to do something with their lives. Poor Nina in cafe, Faye in jail hardly inspiration.

yy, @Akire. Soap teenagers and young adults either have to go to Oxford University or work in a knicker factory / café / go to jail.

There are no other universities. No-one ever goes to Manchester University or UCL or Coventry. Or goes to FE College. It's Oxford or knickers.
