Is anyone else watching this? That poor, poor man failed by the police.

Just awful. I felt so angry for him.

Just watched this too.
A complete failure of all the agencies supposed to protect the vulnerable.
Very sad story.

Though there seems to have been some anecdotal evidence he was a bit of a PITA and didn't fit in with some of our cultural norms there seems to have been little effort to help him. Some of his actions may have not helped but it all could have been avoided with just a little bit of positive action on the various agencies parts.
The attitudes of the two WPC was appalling and they were rightly punished for it. I'm less convinced about PC Duffy being gaoled, though his behaviour, and that of the PCSO, on the fateful day was way below what we should expect.
It shouldn't have taken a Bijan's murder to get the agencies to up their game. Heart breaking....
