I'm half way through watching this - m finding it very difficult to watch (as in the subject matter is heart-breaking) but I think she's a wonderful woman and very brave to speak out.
I'm very surprised there isn't a thread on this on here, well this one, but no replies until now? Sad

Lol same I didn't understand why there were no responses! But it is what it is - I thought it was brave too. I also felt the colourist discussions were very insightful and necessary for discussion.

Though I'm not convinced all of her feelings of being overlooked are all race related. I feel her voice nor personality was never the strongest of the group. I feel some of the overlooking is race related just not all of it.

I don't know much about Little Mix, so I don't know if she is the weakest member of the group - but the whole not putting yourself forward is a bit of a chicken and egg thing I think.

She does seem to have a quiet serious energy, which I guess means she would be over shadowed by her band mates - but it also seems that she is getting into her power.

How many celebrities stick their necks out for unfashionable/difficult issues? (yes white celebrities are celebrated for speaking out against racism, but non-white celebrities aren't, they get death threats etc) so I think what she is doing is very brave. Especially in the fickle industry she is in and her position in the band.

Good for her.

@lightitup2 agreed and I like your point she is very brave for doing it
