What should I watch - night alone with the TV

Hi, I have an evening without my 2 year old and my husband is on a night out, what should I watch?
Hardly ever watch TV by myself, only really watch kids tv with my son and then stuff with my husband in the evening.
We are currently enjoying Modern Family and also liked Parks & Recreation.
As well as comedy I enjoyed Line of Duty, Scandal, Killing Eve, Designated Survivor and Flight Attendant.
I am also facinated by documentaries about large world events from the last 20 years ish (9/11 - Covid).
I have Sky, Netflix & Prime.
Ideas please?
Thanks.

I May Destroy You. Michaela Coel is an actual genius and it's the most brilliant, important TV that's been made so far this century.

My Brilliant Friend (Not sure which streaming service.) Provokes the strongest possible emotion. Also incredibly beautiful.

If you haven't yet seen Detectorists - you must; it's perfection.

GLOW, for something both light-hearted and hard-hitting. And funny. And warm. And really brilliant.

Virgin River, so you can puzzle out why people think Martin Henderson is hot while also enjoying some easy-watching schmaltz.

Mindhunter for excellent acting and good creep factor.

Agree with PP that I May Destroy you was brilliant tv, that's worth watching.

I would also suggest Normal People, both of these should be on iplayer.

The Fall is brilliant if you haven't seen that - should be on Netflix.

Motherland on Netflix is really funny.
Virgin River is really enjoyable if you secretly like a Channel 5 afternoon film!

Years and Years - best tv for a long time.

Everest or The Dawn Wall

My Octopus Teacher
