Just noticed the old thread was nearly full.

Just like Oz. Grin

Except she never told people she was leaving...

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:07

I hope the motorhome didn't cost too much.
Grin

i'm glad she's back.

Now she really does need to adopt a new cat.

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:08

They must have ben listening to that song on a loop- or it's a very long re-mix!

AlanThePig · 24/06/2021 14:09

Maybe if Rob wasn't the only copper in Letherbridge he wouldn't be acting so odd?

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:09

Eavesdropping is never good, Sid.

LIZS · 24/06/2021 14:11

Reach!

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:11

Val!

Why has Emma taken to wearing badly fitting baggy trousers all time lately? They don't suit her.

MadisonAvenue · 24/06/2021 14:11

Oh yes, Val’s definitely back Grin

LIZS · 24/06/2021 14:12

This will not end well for Rob.

LIZS · 24/06/2021 14:12

Stroke?

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:12

Oh no. Rob.

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:13

Oh dear Sad

And now it's not on for aaaaaagesss!!

MadisonAvenue · 24/06/2021 14:13
Shock
AlanThePig · 24/06/2021 14:14

Got to be a brain tumour of sorts hasn't it with the complete personality change?
What I don't get though, and I dont know if its my lack of understanding of the condition or dodgy writing, is if someone has a personality altering illness like that, then why is he only being a twat to Karen? Surely he'd be the same to colleagues?

MadisonAvenue · 24/06/2021 14:14

Bloody hell, never expected that ending

Raahh · 24/06/2021 14:16

Alan that's my problem with it- it's very selective, horrible to Gobby, but ok with Harriet, and at work. Until today, I suppose.

doctorsnoddy · 24/06/2021 14:17

I think so Alan I did wonder about how he was at work, then remembered I was watching Doctors. The blackout would suggest some brain problem so I'm sticking with a frontal lobe tumour as my diagnosis

LIZS · 24/06/2021 14:25

He did blank put at the accident recently , blaming ptsd. Where has he been on his "nightshifts" though?

RockaLock · 24/06/2021 14:34

Oh, that was very cruel of the script writers. They bring back Val, so we are all happy. And then the next minute leave us with the Rob story cliffhanger over the summer break.

smallandimperfectlyformed · 24/06/2021 18:03

I thought that was excellent! I was worried that Rob was going to die so pleased he hasn't but obviously there will be repercussions as to what he did. Sergeant Shelton (Harriet!) should also get in trouble as she should have reported his attempted assault of Aaron, though I do know how difficult whistleblowing is. Look at me acting as though they are real! Hope whatever happens Karen is treated better, my heart has been breaking for her.

Willowkins · 24/06/2021 23:24

Ooh er! What will we do for a whole Summer? I need my 25 minute fix before I go to senior aerobics.

AlanThePig · 24/06/2021 23:28

It’s always been a bit of a standing joke with DH that I don’t watch doctors. He takes the piss, especially since he’s wfh and he can hear it in the background. Rather glad he was on a site visit yesterday so missed the wonderland episode. He always asks if I’ve ‘not watched doctors today’ though 😂

EversoDelighted · 25/06/2021 05:41

That was quite shocking, one minute Val has got them dancing in the car park, the next Rob is in the most serious trouble imaginable. And its going to be weeks till its on again Confused.

From a selfish point of view Grin, this is one of my favourite times of year (although I do watch other tennis all year ) and Wimbledon wasn't on last year. The fact football clashes with it, is not good though.
Usually, Doctors has been replaced by something quite good (often from Australia/ New Zealand). I really enjoyed The Heights.
With the Olympics being on as well though (depending on who is showing what and time zone differences), I'm not sure what will be on.
This is one of the better cliff hangers they've had though- bit like when Bren died.
But it will still come back in September and half the things will be forgotten- or random things will be remembered that we have forgotten- like the daft 'Harper'/Alexa thing from last time!

EversoDelighted · 25/06/2021 08:30

I love the football, couldn't be less interested in tennis (sorry Raahh!) but also love the Olympics. I still think they ought to be able to squeeze Doctors in though Grin but I understand they need the breaks to get ahead with more filming too.
