It's surely too big for a taxi office. I would have thought they could run it from the room out the back though so maybe laundrette and cab office together?

Do taxi firms still have taxi offices these days? I would have thought they’d all have apps like Uber etc and someone running switch could do it from home.

Guess many people still ring up it cost apt to invent a booking app and provide techno support I imagine. Not really ideally if it’s manned 24/7 to have someone doing shifts at home.

They still have cab offices where I live but I don't think you can wait inside anymore?
Years ago I used to love waiting in the cab office after a night out. It was a dump , smelt of cigarettes and beer but the man on the phones was nice and kept an eye on us women ( in a good way) made sure were ok and had the drivers he knew personally to make sure it was all well to get us home safely. Old fashioned service! Probably all gone now :(
