Happy Valley - Repeats start on Drama Friday 14th May

This series is brilliant. For those who missed it first time around, Drama are repeating it. First episode next Friday, 14th May at 9.00 p.m.

I'm going to watch it again - written by the brilliant Sally Wainwright (Last Tango in Halifax) and great cast including Sarah Lancashire, James Norton.

Well worth a watch, or rewatch!

Oh , it is brilliant but hard hitting (quite violent)

I avoided it for years because I couldn't see past Sarah Lancashire/ Raquel from Coronation Street but this character is miles apart and she is amazing .

Steve Pemberton plays the snidey spineless accountant ( very straight role for him)

Sally Wainwright first met Sarah Lancashire when she wrote episodes of Corrie (during the Raquel years). She said she wanted to work with her, and SL appeared in Last Tango, as Caroline. Then, again in Happy Valley. Three very different roles. Excellent actress, so versatile.

It is violent yes I agree, but I thought it was brilliant - up there with the earlier series of LOD - edge of your seat stuff.
