I'm a Celebrity.......... it's not real is it?

OK so I only watched 5 minutes of it last night but I can't believe it's really in the jungle.

If so it's a very clean, picturesque jungle with artfully arranged bushes. Also the light is very strange, looks artificial to me.

So is it all a piss take and set up in a studio or am I completely missing the point here??

No it is in the bush but not as remote & isolated as we are led to believe apparently! Hides for the 24hr cameramen, lighting & mikes would detract from the natural ambience I would have thought!!

I am quite glad that they are not messing up real jungle. They must have hundreds of 4x4s shipping all the camera folk and related stuff backwards and forwards.

Hmm, the Australian bush doesn't look like that though. Much drier and dustier and less foliage!

I wouldn't have thought they could do it in the real jungle, far too much risk of injury and disease. And I imagine they would have to jump through an awful lot of hoops to get permission. As pigleto said, the impact would be huge.

It's not in bush as such, is in the Australian rainforest.
Which I'd have thought would be protected to a large degree.

I've watched it twice now, but can't seem to spot any celebrities.

or "I'm a has-been, please boost my career". or "I'm desperate to be a celebrity, please buy my book/album/read my life story in whichever trashy magazine you see fit."

They are actually in an area of rainforest, but it's not exactly remote. The reason the light looks artificial is because it is - there are additional TV crew lights there.

As for the "Celebrity" bit - well, yes, ahem.

Have to say I'm anjoying it more than I would at forst- it's interesting seeing the different personalitites coming out!
