At my dcs primary school (because the previous head teacher used to to tech in Spain) we used to have to sing 'happy birthday' to half th school in Spanish at assemblies on Fridays. Even though the head left 6 years ago, this tradition remained.

One of the good things about Covid is the end of interminable Friday assemblies.
