Question about Our Yorkshire Farm

All the kids seem to get airtime apart from Annas. Even in tonight’s episode when she was in a team with her mum and Clemmie, the camera hardly lingered on her and her mum only ever addressed remarks to Clemmie. It seems odd to me.

I hadn't noticed that. I wonder if she isn't very comfortable with being the focus of attention and perhaps not happy in front of the cameras so they let her be in the background so she is ok? Just a guess though. I will pay more attention as I'm generally very unobservant.

I seem to recall reading a few years ago that one of the nine children had autism but could be wrong.

It Annas is autistic maybe she doesn’t like the cameras on her?

Dd and I always say this - she’s never on camera but we can’t work out why. They also feature Clemmy so much and we wonder why that is! It’s like she’s being prepared for a career in television

I had to laugh when the two other girls hid in that locker and thought they were safe until the dog came back and found them!!

I find it quite creepy how the focus has been put so obviously on Clemmie recently. I think during the last series she emerged as a bit of a "star" and now it feels like she's kind of being groomed to be a big star. On Amanda's Facebook page I was really unnerved by the hundreds of people gushing about how amazing, beautiful etc she is. It just all feels wrong. She's a five year old who has no idea she has this huge fanbase.

I think Clemmie gets so much attention cos she's cute and a real character. Plus there's only her and Nancy at home during the day when most of the filming is done (prior to her going to school) and Nancy was a lot younger and quieter.

I get the impression that they take their lead from the kids in terms of how much they want to be featured. In the first series none of the youngest three were featured much, and until this recent series I didn't think Miles or Nancy appeared that often. Some kids like Clemmie are a lot more outgoing and willing to talk to the camera, others aren't, which is fair enough. With nine kids it's probably inevitable one or two of the quiet ones will get overshadowed, and more likely to be the middle ones.

I didn't notice Amanda only talking to Clemmie in this weeks episode, unless it was because she was walking with/helping Clemmie more - but if you're crossing rivers etc and one kid is 7 and one 5 you probably are going to be supporting the younger one more...

Perhaps Annas is just more shy/quieter

I agree with this. I don't think there's anything more complicated or sinister going on.

Watching it on catch and it asks me if i'm over 16 for this programme!
So strange when it shows at 7 o clock on the weekend!
