I too have missed my sons 3rd birthday card on the cbeebies channel today (14 November 2007). I am mortified especially after putting so much effort into it. If anybody does have a copy I would be very very grateful. It would make mine and my sons day. Thank you Jo x

Hi Jpedwards76

Did you watch the 8.15am show on 14th Nov. If so did you notice a Finley the Fife Engine shaped card to Joshua who was 3, from baby brother Harry and big brother William.

Did anybody else notice this card on Cbeebies?

Thanks Jo

jpedwards76 · 15/11/2007 10:15

joandthelittlemen,
If you receive a copy would you be kind enough to let me know and I will do likewise!
Although I think now it is like looking for a needle in a haystack - did you record any cbeebies yesterday as it was shown at 10am ish and then repeated again at 1pm ish?

No just checked I recorded the birthdays on BBC2 at 08.30 and not cbeebies!! I am so cross with myself! Sorry

Thankk you for looking.

I cannot believe I forgot. Not the first time I have had a problem. I got Williams 4th birthay card on Cbeebies and we were so proud but a few days later our sky + box corrupted and lost all recordings. I think I am doomed to fail with the b'day cards.

I have put messages in a few different places and of course I will contact you if I find one but I do not hold out much hope.

Take care Jo x

I may have a solution - do you know anyone with sky+ as apparently you can watch yesterdays tv today and record it?

I might have someone who has virgin + but is unsure if it does what the sky+ does?

I have Sky + but I was not aware or do not think you can watch yesterdays programmes. If anybody does know how, can you tell me how?

Thanks Jo

jpedwards76 · 15/11/2007 15:14

I was told from a lady on mumstop.com
It has to be Sky+ apparently as you are able to go back and look at the previous weeks tv
I think you may need to record the programme before and after the birthdays section if that makes it any clearer?

Quoted from her:-

"should be able to go back over the last weeks programmes , you need to have Sky+ tho"
find the time and channel when the programme was aired ,select and record"

Waiting in anticipation !!!

Hi Jane

I have Sky + but unfortunately the Sky + does not do this. I have given them a call to check (not going to leave any stone unturned) and they confirmed that this cannot be done. Sky have introduced a new feature to pick from a selection of previously shown show at anytime but these are only a few random shows, have checked this just in case with no luck.
Sorry

I am still desperartely thinking of ways to find a recording.

My friend has gone home to check whether this facility is available on virgin+ (I await their answer!)
Fingers crossed

Someone else has replied about the sky+ route!
"No. You can record programs that are on now or in the future.

However sky does keep some programs available on the menus for about 7 days.

Go to the TV guide and select Anytime TV (red button) scroll through the list to see if he program you want is available."

I guess you have tried this though!

I guess you would have to select the programmes either sides of the birthdays as they are not "officially" programmes

Bumping it up just in case!

jpedwards76 · 17/11/2007 21:59

Hi Jo
Have asked my mum as her friends son works for the BBC so may be able to get a copy internally - rather than joe public etc., I dont know if it will be possible but I am so desperate for a copy as I guess you are too!
I remember seeing the card for your son so I know it WAS shown
Still keeping fingers (and toes crossed!)
Jane
