Just finished watching this series and need some help.

What the bejeebers was the ending all about?

Jean/Diane looked really pleased to see Sidney arrive at her daughter’s school and was Alison dead on the back of the car?.....

Haven't watched it but this may assist?

I suspect the ending wasn't really the ending and they just didn't bother making anymore.
