Just coming to the end of this series on Netflix. Good show, easy watch but can't decide how I feel about Sutton's miscarriage storyline.
Newlywed Sutton & her husband find at 6-8 week scan there is no heartbeat.
First it was strange to me that process was so fast. From personal experience, it is common to switch to a vaginal scan to get a better look.
Then she was told it would take up to 48 hours for the miscarriage to physically take place. Again seems inaccurate. Took for me 2 weeks with lots of spotting beforehand. Others I know had to have medical assistance (D&C).
The later expression of relief tears & guilt was a difficult one for me too. I find it hard to comprehend that she wouldn't feel any kind of grief for the loss. It's an angle I hadn't thought of before.
Be interested to get other perspectives.
