Hi

I could do with something nice and easy to watch. Lighthearted.

I’ve already watched Derry girls, modern family, Friday night dinner.

I have 18 days to go in an awful job and need cheering up in my time off.

I do watch plenty of more serious stuff as well haha just need to break it up a bit and stop watching Derry girls relentlessly

Many thanks xx

Op try some Korean dramas on Netflix.
I’d recommend Crash Landing on You, Descendants of the Sun and My Love from the Star.
They aren’t exactly lighthearted but there’s loads of wit, originality and brilliant acting and the actors are so handsome and beautiful.

Have you watched Schitt's Creek? Or if you don't mind subtitles (if you're not fluent in French like me!) then Call My Agent is good. Both very funny/entertaining and well written IMO. Both on Netflix. Like most series - takes about 2-3 episodes to get the measure of them.

I mean I'm not fluent in French - not bragging that I am Grin

Recently discovered Superstore on Netflix. It’s extremely cheesy and silly but only c20 min episodes which I find is good (sometimes I don’t have the attention span for anything longer but strangely have no problem watching 3 back to back 🤣)

Or how about one of the trashy American property-porn series, Selling Sunset? Or Love is Blind (dating...but strangely addictive)

Arrested Development.

Tagaagajavdv · 13/04/2021 23:24

Thanks all!

I started schitts creek but never got in to it, might try it again

Kin's Convenience might hit the mark. Set in Toronto, it's a comedy, but I love the odd shot of the ordinary city life. Try it.

*Kim's convenience

Offspring and Schitt's Creek are both great.

Thanks 😊

Grace and Frankie

mosgirl · 14/04/2021 06:45

Emily in Paris on Netflix

ILikeTheWineNotTheLabel · 14/04/2021 06:46

Another vote for Kim’s Convenience.

Gooseysgirl · 14/04/2021 07:35

Keep going with Schitts Creek, it gets better and better! I'm on S4 of Grace and Frankie and it is feckin hilarious - another one to stick with as it gets better.

SomethingAboutNothing · 14/04/2021 08:27

Schitts Creek is brilliant, we recently watched Superstore and it is very funny and definitely fits the easy to watch criteria. We're rewatching Brooklyn 99 at the moment and love that.

BeaLola · 14/04/2021 08:35

On Netflix:
Emily in Paris
Anne with an E
Virgin River
Selling Sunset - some of the houses !

WheresThatCatGoneNow · 14/04/2021 12:16

The Golden Girls and Kath & Kim are my go-to comedies when I need cheering up and/or distraction 👍🏻

noblegiraffe · 14/04/2021 12:29

I couldn’t get into Schitt’s Creek but would definitely recommend Superstore. The first couple of episodes are ropey but keep going as you need to get the hang of the characters.

JoeGargery · 15/04/2021 17:21

I can only cope with easy watches at the moment. Modern family and Life in Pieces are doing it for me

JSL52 · 15/04/2021 17:35

The Other One - about a man who died and left a secret family- hilarious.
