Does anyone find the Irish chef Clodagh incredibly irritating on This Morning?! She was on there today dancing around, showing off and fluffing her lines generally. Urgh so annoying.

She's painful. They have her on Sunday Brunch from time to time and I have to switch off. Always makes me think of people who like to think they're "mad" as in "I'm mad I am". No you're a crashing attention seeking loud bore!

I also need to switch over when she is on TV...far too loud and excitable for morning TV!

LyndaSnellMBE · 07/04/2021 05:12

SO irritating and so pleased with herself.

lynsey91 · 07/04/2021 11:00

I can't stand her. When she is on Sunday Brunch I fast forward her bit. She is so full of herself

Mrsjayy · 07/04/2021 11:04

I quite like her she is a bit "I'm bonkers me" but I don't find her offensive.

Mrsjayy · 07/04/2021 11:05

Doesn't she live with a lord or earl
Or somebody ?

MaeveTheRave1 · 07/04/2021 11:30

A bit of a pain in the arse alright. Seems to be a new persona for UK tv - she's been on Irish tv on and off since the earlier 2000s and I don't remember her being so annoying - in fact I think she was quite serious.

Divineswirls · 08/04/2021 00:16

I really like her.

She was on Steph's Packed lunch a few weeks ago and had been dancing around before, not during the show, and with her permission they showed it. It was very sweet and funny.

A week or so later This Morning stated she would now be a permanent member of their team so I presume they have encouraged this side of her for their ratings.

lollipoprainbow · 08/04/2021 09:01

@Divineswirls so it's all for the cameras then as I thought, she seemed to be thoroughly enjoy the attention tbh. So that's two annoying blondes on there now her and Holly!!

She’s engaged to one of the Carnarvons and lives on the Highclere estate. I knew her years ago and she was a perfectly normal jobbing cook who’d done the Ballymaloe cookery course and was exploring ways of making a living other than working in a kitchen. She had a department store restaurant at one point, and used to do farmers markets and I think developed Aer Lingus airline food.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen her on tv. The ditsy thing is funny.

Good luck to her. I think she’s a classic example of someone without stellar talent who’s made far more of what she has than many because of her ambition and steely focus — I find that very interesting to watch.

Mrsjayy · 08/04/2021 11:33

riverrunner she was doing a TV item from her house and I couldn't remember who her fiancé was, I like her she a happy soul who loves their life, can't fault someone for being happy.

I definitely think it is all an act and just find it extremely annoying. I know I have seen quite a lot of posts on different forums saying how annoying people find her.

I bet more turn off when she is on than keep watching. On Sunday Brunch she is just a total embarrassment

lollipoprainbow · 08/04/2021 13:28

@lynsey91 she's completely awful! Sticking her fingers in the bowl and licking them, fluffing her lines etc too busy preening to show viewers how to make things.

Divineswirls · 08/04/2021 18:41

I didn't say it was an act.

I just think she's a happy soul who is usually very professional behind the camera but the producers like her private personal fun side and have allowed her to unleash it a bit more.

I think we need a bit of joy in our lives so good luck to her she's more than welcome on my TV screen
