Anyone watch Louis theroux?

I'm looking forward to this.
I loved Tiger King.

I’m watching it. It’s really not that good.
Just a rehash of a lot of footage that’s been seen before.
Louis is not asking Carole Baskin any tough questions. Would’ve been good if he’d checked on the lifestyle of her tigers, or how she runs the park and gets finance for it.

It's an odd one - he was clearly hampered by the legal side but it did seem a rehash. In recent years he has had to look again at Saville and Max Clifford and now he is retrospectively looking at how he got Joe Exotic wrong but with all three there's never really a mea culpa. I do quite enjoy a Louis documentary but to lose one scoop may be regarded as misfortune, to lose all three looks like carelessness!

I don't know who Joe Exotic is but I don't think Louis Theroux failed in any way with J Saville and Max Clifford. They both presented an image that was extremely plausible. People like that always do, they form associations with decent and influential folk; Geoffrey Epstein was like that, he had thousands of 'friends' in high places who had no idea what he was really like and they were duped. Now they are guilty by association.

Makes me glad I am not famous.

I loved Tiger King last year. Dh said last night it summed up our lockdown, excited about watching utterly batshit crazies.
Louis was obviously prevented from doing much by the legal team, so it was just a bit of a mishmash of what we’ve seen before. Howard is such an interesting character.

Louis theroux is a terrible interviewer doesn't ask open questions, put words into people's mouths

He's seriously messed up and missed out of exposing Saville, and Joe exotic and proven how useless he is
Hopefully he doesn't get to carry on doing his crap docs
He's too gullible easily hoodwinked

The other issue I have with Louis Theroux is all those documentaries he did in the US, a bit like freak shows, with an easy shock impact, rather then true investigations.

For example; He could have explored the rise of gender dysphoria in teens in the UK, and the scandal of the trans medical pathway being pushed on young women, for example. Instead he went to the US to 'investigate' it, which left most viewers thinking it was a US-centric issue.

I liked it but i love Louis!
I'm sure i must have seen the one he did with Joe Exotic in all those years ago but i can't remember it
and i was one of the few who didn't watch the one on netflix about the tiger king!
