I am enjoying thrillers at the moment, films and tv

I recently enjoyed Cheat and Behind Her Eyes (tv shows) and Run, Greta, Deadly Illusions (films)

Any other recommendations would be most welcome.

We have Now TV / Sky, Netflix along BBC iPlayer and the like

The bridge if it is still available on iplayer.

WaxOnFeckOff · 05/04/2021 09:42

The Sinner
You (I think it's called, about a stalker)

ElderMillennial · 05/04/2021 10:04

I liked You and Dead to Me and Dirty John

Haven't seen the Bridge and the Sinner so will look them up

Your honour on Now TV.
Seven Seconds on Netflix.
The Flight Attendant on Now TV - it has a bit of a dark comedy vibe like Dead to me, I liked it even though it made no sense Grin

ElderMillennial · 05/04/2021 10:36

I watched the Flight Attendant this week. I liked it.

Haven't heard of the other two. I don't watch much on Now so there must be some hidden gems on there

La Mante on Netflix was good, something different not everyone has seen

laardvark · 05/04/2021 10:48

The Fall
Luther
The Bridge
You
The Killing (either scandi original or US remake)
The Serpent
Collateral
Bodyguard
The Night Manager
Liar

Paranoid on Netflix was very good - a U.K. thriller with Robert Glenister

midsomermurderess · 05/04/2021 15:11

There are some good series on All4 under Walter Presents if you're ok with subtitles. The 'by the lake' series is good, set in Annecy; The Blood Pact (Dutch); Torn (French, psychological thriller); The Adulterer (also Dutch).

midsomermurderess · 05/04/2021 18:30

Cpaitani on Netflix is also shaping up to be good. A crime thriller, set in Luxembourg.

midsomermurderess · 05/04/2021 20:55

'Capitani'.

ElderMillennial · 10/04/2021 09:15

I will look up some of these today

I watched Fatale this week and that was a bit far fetched but it was okay.

The Vanished and Fractured then came up as suggestions, which looked good.

I've heard of the Walter Presents stuff but haven't watched any of it. I think I need to be in the mood for subtitles ie not half asleep and happy to put my glasses on Grin

Capitani looks good

I loved You, Bodyguard, Liar... Cheat was good as well

I also started Line of Duty this week. I sound like I have lots of time for TV!

I'm enjoying Capitani. It's interesting to hear the language and see a bit of Lux and the culture. I also like that each episode is only about 30 mins and it rattles along. It's not a big commitment.

Only the animals on Netflix. French thriller with a great storyline full of twists.

Graphista · 15/04/2021 20:10

If you have Netflix I highly recommend "the call" with Halle Berry

If you can access also the new "the invisible man" 2020 with Elisabeth moss

Top of the lake - also Elizabeth moss - slower burn but very good

Bosch is similar but with some shocks

Bodyguard and Liar I liked too

ElderMillennial · 15/04/2021 20:39

The Call sounds good

I've seen Top of the Lake on there so many times and haven't been sure what to make of it

I've just about watched all of Line of Duty in the last couple of weeks so I will be onto these soon Grin

I second The Fall on Netflix. Brilliant thriller.

Graphista · 16/04/2021 10:24

Top of the lake is amazing! Its a bit weird but just so good. Didn't especially enjoy 2nd season but 1st is awesome
