Am I the only one thinking that there are completely different script writers for different scenes tonight? That scene with Fiz and Tyrone was surprisingly really moving whereas Brian and Kathy was just drivel!

I said the same to DH. Tonight's writing was good. There was humour and intensity. I'm liking Seb/Nina and Abby always makes me smile.

And having Rita back on the street makes me think life might just starting be getting back to normal.

Laughing at Cathy not hoarding BTW. Appreciate that is a very serious and sensitive condition to live with. I'm laughing at how ridiculous Cathy is as a character.

I can’t believe it took me so long to realise this storyline was moving into ‘Cathy starts hoarding again’ territory.

Agree the scene with Fiz and Tyrone talking about where their relationship had gone wrong was very sad and well written. I think it would have resonated with a lot of couples that are just too knackered by life to make an effort with each other.

Cathy & Brian need to go. She irritates me so much. The Fizz/Ty storyline is very realistic. It would have killed me to see them going off to the hotel together. Looks like Roobs is clocking it all and will soon start setting fire to stuff again.

I wasn’t sure at all about Tyrone’s speech about how once Fiz had been the love of his life. That really never seemed to be the case. They were together years back, and he left her for Molly. Then they kind of fell back together in the fallout from Fiz’s relationship with John Stape, and Tyrone’s relationship with Kirsty. It was never a great love affair at all - it always came across as a relationship of convenience really.

All this talk of “Knutsford” amused me, like it is some idyllic dream of a place full of “boutique hotels” and whatnot. I’m a Knutsford native (now living in London). It’s a nice-ish town with some lovely Georgian buildings, but the vibe is very much “fur coat and no knickers”. There’s a large hotel out of town near the M6, but very little in town - the tiny high street is dead on its feet, even before the pandemic, lots of shop units empty, most restaurants closed for good, very little hotel accommodation (if any) in town, some gruesome town centre developments which have destroyed what was left of the historical character of the place. But for some reason Coronation St has always (since the 80’s!) pushed it as some kind of dream destination.

I think Tyrone & Fiz will end up back together. It has resonated with me though a lot as I went through it too, with DD's Dad. I was an absolute mess and totally unable to function. Utterly, purely devastated. Fiz's stoic & strong demeanor in the face of all this, puts me to shame!

Loved this. Sad but I loved " this is what a working mother looks like" Fizz has found her anger. Ty is hardly catch of the week either is he? I think Alina is going to get bored pretty quickly if she isnt alresdy.

Why does Nina talk in that odd way! I'd like to see her without the weird lipstick and the flouncy dress and apron for once !!

Yes. I kept wishing for fizz to say “and YOU are what a working father looks like! Go look in the mirror- you’re no Tom hardy!”

Would Alina really look twice at Tyrone !! He was a shoulder to cry on for her and he's steamed ahead and fallen for her. In real life she's far more likely to hanker after someone like Lucas.

Tbh I was really about fizz’ comments about Alina. When she heard Emma had walked in and found “Lucas’” jeans in the flat she called Alina a “dirty cow”. Really? I don’t get how having sex with Lucas, in her own bedroom when no-one else was supposed to be home would make Alina a dirty cow. Also she later referred to her as a bike at a point when fizz didn’t know Alina and Tyrone had slept together. So all fizz thought was that Alina had slept with Lucas. Hardly bike status. I get fizz is angry with Alina but if anyone deserves to be called a dirty cow and a bike it’s Tyrone. But no, she won’t risk that because she still wanted ty so Alina gets all the abuse. Not nice Corrie!

I think she's dead right about Alina,wee home wrecker. She needs a slap. My daughter is 24, Alina is apparently 23...my daughter hates her. And her dimples.
Lucas and Daisy could be a great couple.

I hope they keep it going long enough to do an awkward scene where Alina is introduced to both girls and they take them out to the park for ice cream or similar. She’ll soon run for the hills.
