The Irregulars on Netflix

I'm thoroughly enjoying The Irregulars on Netflix as the title suggests

I just love the characters and storylines. It's very sumptuous to watch.

Not sure who it's aimed at or what age. It can be a bit gory and there's the odd swear word.

It fills a tv gap anyway

I'm surprised there isn't more love for this.

I only just got round to starting this series today as I was finishing off a few other series' first but I'm already up to episode 4 and I only planned to watch the first one to see what it was all about.

I'm really enjoying this take on the Irregulars - I know of them from the Sherlock Holmes books - but giving them stories in their own right and making Sherlock and Watson be less of the heros that we have always known to be is an interesting take.

I'm also loving the supernatural elements but much like the OP its hard to tell who this is aimed at - the actors, dialogue, romance element all seem like they're aiming towards a teen audience but then the gore and horror is definitely aimed more at adults.

As I said, I'm only on episode r so far and it would appear that one of the series arcs is being signposted and unsubtly hinted at already with the connection between the Rip and Bea/Jessie but I shall have to wait and see if it will come to fruition or is a giant red herring when I finish the series.

I've been debating whether to watch this or not - but on the strength of your comments, I think I'll take the plunge!

I’m gonna start tomorrow! 😁

I really enjoyed it, binged over 2 nights

Really enjoying this, wasn't sure after the first one but I'm glad that I went on to watch the second!
The only thing I am 🤔 about is when they are referring to Dr Watson as 'The Doctor', the whole thing has Dr Who overtones to me and when that was added I started to feel like that was on purpose to put that in your mind. But it's not a big deal really, loving it overall!

Thought it was crap, sorry.

I’m enjoying it but wish it was a bit less supernatural and a bit more normal crime.
