Sometimes Sky 1 friday series are quite good, so I am going to give this a go.

Just thought I would let others know about it.

But take no responsibility if it turns out to be awful!

pumpkinpie01 · 19/03/2021 16:03

Looking forward to this 😀

youngestisapsycho · 19/03/2021 16:19

Yes I have set to record.

stumbledin · 19/03/2021 19:36

Does that mean it can be binge watched? Just asking as I like watching week by week, so need to know whether this will become a spoiler thread? Confused

Yes all episodes are on there. I'm on episode 3 I like it so far.

AllThatFancyPaintsAsFair · 19/03/2021 19:53

I set it to record a few days ago when I saw the trailer and I noticed it's already recorded something, I've not watched yet, is it some kind of pre-programme before the series starts?

Emmas85 · 19/03/2021 22:29

The series started today.

stumbledin · 20/03/2021 15:07

Okay I watched first episode and got fed up with the main characters mannerism. I think the plot line etc., might be interesting but quite honestly not sure I am prepared to waste my time on ditzy blonde gets herself into a pickle.

I think it must be available to download all episodes as I didn't record but bookmarked, and it gave me the option to watch all episodes.

@Emmas85

The series started today.
I checked my recording, it was from 2am Friday morning, I assumed it from Thursday as it was there on Friday morning, still not watched it yet Grin

Totally agree with this about the main character.

The premise is quite interesting but Kaley Cuoco is massively irritating as an actress, it’s the same schtick in every role.

I love Michael Huisman but he is wasted in this. (I’m sure I’ve spelled his name wrong there)

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/03/2021 21:46

On planner

Blondeshavemorefun · 01/04/2021 18:01

Im enjoying

Wearethetwirl · 01/04/2021 20:02

I think it was the whole comedy/thriller balance that didn’t work for me.

In order to be gripped, you have to have peril and danger, a genuine sense of dread. But when even after discovering a dead body in her bed, the main character is quipping and making jokes, the whole jeopardy seems, well, laughable.

I actually think Kaley Cuoco is a good comedy actress and in the hands of another, the character could have been unbelievably annoying, still I wasn’t all that bothered about finding out what happened.

Annamariefl · 02/04/2021 08:47

I was getting fed up by episode 4 and have given up after episode 6. Think Miranda is based on Killing Eve character (remember the actor from Green Wing and is married to Jack Davenport). Too many implausible plots and scenes for so many characters. Thought it was going to be a more straightforward thriller.

stumbledin · 02/04/2021 15:30

I'd totally forgotten about this. Might try one more episode but as there is a film about Collette on tonight I might watch that. Except seeing Keira Knightly pout her way through another part isn't exactly encouraging.

It’s black comedy. Like finding Alice

stumbledin · 03/04/2021 16:04

Its trying to be clever but is just crude. Or it maybe I think the lead actress is just not able to carry it off.

And surely by now her work colleagues would think she is just too flaky to be doing her job.

But what is worse I think it is one of those shows that says being a drunk isn't a problem for you or others, because they will always come and tidy up your mess. Whereas the reality drunks are at best bores and at worse a burden, and they take over your life as you become their nanny.

She dappy likes booze too much

But I like the storyline

MrsTumbletap · 05/04/2021 17:24

Her lawyer friend though....terrible!

What has 'Annie' actually done to help? She is moany and shit. Truly terrible and pointless character.

Get Harvey Spector on there, he would have sorted the whole mess by now. Grin

MrsTumbletap · 05/04/2021 17:25

It also doesn't need her other flight attendant friend and that Korean data theft storyline in there either, what is the point in that?

SleepingStandingUp · 06/04/2021 14:13

I'm the only one enjoying it then 😂😂

I'm assuming the Korean Data theft storyline will cross over somewhere, I'm ok with a parallel side story.

it is one of those shows that says being a drunk isn't a problem for you or others it's Def a prob for her brother and the flash backs are starting to show the impact of her days alcoholism. I think it's quite normal to accept that level of social drinking in a show like this but actually her brother mentions it and makes it an issue

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/04/2021 11:58

I’m liking it as well @SleepingStandingUp

RevolvingPivot · 16/04/2021 23:55

Spoilers.....

Just finished. I liked it. Very OTT in parts. Did she ever get her apartment back? What happened to Megan? Was her colleague (the man) really FBI. That was weird.

SleepingStandingUp · 17/04/2021 00:14

We finished last night and loved it.

Assume she got her apartment back as it was only that she was scared Megan would get her.

Meghan lived and escaped and stole the book so she's rich and happy somewhere. I dislike the actress cos of Dr Who but I warmed towards her at the end.

Megan just disappeared, presumably with some cash.

Colleague was FBI and basically offered Cassie an undercover job at the end so I wonder if that's where series 2 will go and of it'll loop back round to Meghan otherwise that's an odd little segue

CimCardashian · 17/04/2021 23:28

I liked it to start with and then I just found Cassie a bit irritating. I wouldn’t watch season 2 if there is ever one. A shame!
