MaureenMLove · 07/11/2007 21:06

Oh, thanks for the reminder!

puppydavies · 07/11/2007 22:04

can anyone explain where the woman with the kids is going to find the extra £320,000 on that flat?

ToiletFlusher · 07/11/2007 22:05

Thats what I couldn't work out...was she just paying the deposit??

Made me blub though....

MaureenMLove · 07/11/2007 22:05

I wondered that too!

Tamum · 07/11/2007 22:06

I just came on to MN to see if anyone else had worked that out, only I thought it was £420,000. I can't believe they didn't think that through??

notnowbernard · 07/11/2007 22:07

Yes, I got a bit teary.

Think I'm pre-menstrual.

LucyElasticband · 07/11/2007 22:07

perhaps it was a house share?

yackertyyack · 07/11/2007 22:08

yeah....£500k flat with £80k deposit paid. How on earth is she gonna pay the mortgage???? Also, do you really think it was right to single one little girl out to pay to send her to stage school????!!

ToiletFlusher · 07/11/2007 22:09

And I couldn't work out what she'd given that husband of the dance school woman...glad its not just me being dense!

Please someone...tell us!

Tamum · 07/11/2007 22:10

Did anyone else find it unintentionally hilarious when she said that when she was a child they were too poor to afford a number for the door, and she just had to chalk it on every day? Or was that just me

Tamum · 07/11/2007 22:11

I think she'd paid the deposit on another flat for him to develop or something, Toilet, but again it all seemed a bit odd.

puppydavies · 07/11/2007 22:11

oh i thought it was £400,000 but i do work in a shop and as has already been pointed out today i must therefore be crap at maths

MaureenMLove · 07/11/2007 22:12

I didn't get the door number thing either! I reakon it was the producers of the programme embelshing just to make her look even poorer!

ToiletFlusher · 07/11/2007 22:12

She might have been loaded but she had crap dress sense....
[jealous bitchy emotion]

dramaqueen · 07/11/2007 22:12

I couldn't help thinking that the money she gave out was peanuts to her. Unless there was some more stuff we didn't see, she has left those people with a millstone around their necks.

Tamum · 07/11/2007 22:13

You'd think they could have afforded a teensy bit of paint so that at least she didn't have to re-do it every time it rained, wouldn't you?

yackertyyack · 07/11/2007 22:14

she bought the dancer bloke an 'investment' house which i presume is for him to make money on. Think some people buy new houses before they are built and the sell them for a profit when the are finished and ready to move into??!! (does that make sense??)

ToiletFlusher · 07/11/2007 22:15

Perhaps she was going to pay completely for the houses/flats? She must have done.....like you say, would be a right millstone otherwise.

yackertyyack · 07/11/2007 22:15

.... i also got the impression that the dancing couple had some sort of idea what was going on as they did keep saying 'how much this was and that was'!!!

dd666 · 07/11/2007 22:17

missed first bit seen end bit the cheque for the house might of been like a brompton buy half rent half did cry but thats pms

Milliways · 07/11/2007 22:18

Has she paid the deposit and bought house in her name for them to live in???

I notice the cheques were from her Ltd Company, so tax efficient. Maybe her company will own the equity?

MaureenMLove · 07/11/2007 22:18

Didn't it say, she had 1/2 million to give out? So there was 19K for the dance school, 50k for the child, 70k for the single parent fund and the 2 deposits, someone else add that up, I'm only a childminder!

LucyElasticband · 07/11/2007 22:19

yes, how would they persuadeher to part with her dosh????
philanthropy?

dramaqueen · 07/11/2007 22:19

I think it was £250,000, and that it was entirely up to her how much she gave.

Tamum · 07/11/2007 22:20

I thought they said a quarter of a million, so that would be about right, I think.
