this has been touched on in the auntumnwatch thread- but i feel it is worthy of discussion-

WHY, on a pre-school channel are the bbc dredging up terrible old cr*p from cbcc years ago???

Badly made rubbish like Monster cafe and Melvin and Maureen. And don't get me started on Space Pirates....

The only bright spots were a great new episode of Charlie and Lola, and a full length Bob the Builder. And that won't happen every week, so the 'new' cbeebies weekends is just cheap drivel.

in my opinion

but then again, I am not a child.....

I keep seeing the adverts and tell DD 'Gosh, that looks like rubbish'. She is only 3.5 but now says 'Mummy the advert for rubbish is on again'

dc dont watch cbebeeies, but they do watch boomerang, that is equally annoying as every holday, even the whole of the summer holidays, all they bloody put on is scooby bloody doo, from dusk til dawn.

God, yeah. It looks like shite.
Have stayed away from cbeebies at the weekend as just seeing the ads makes my teeth itch.
Have been watching Nickelodeon lately as DSs current favourites are Lazytown, Thomas and Peppa pig.

I thought that Monster Cafe thing had been round before.
Eighties maybe? Seem to remember still being at school and thinking it was crud.

scattyspice · 07/11/2007 17:33

DS loves it.

we don't have any other kids channels- and idon't really like letting ds watch anything full of ad breaks (channel 5 in the mornings is one long toys r us advert), so am limited in what he will watch- if i WANTED him to watch cbbc, then he would, but i don't as it is just rubbish- apart from shaun the sheep

the new programmes just don't seem to sit with the usual programming, and stick out like sore thumbs, they such poor quality

i think we will stick to dvds at the weekend (although i have lost count of how many times i have seen Monsters Inc and toy story!)

Sadly, ds was quite taken with Space pirates- it just looked like bad saturday morning telly.
