Yaasy can't wait

LittleOldWineDrinker · 10/03/2021 23:12

I'm rewatching the first 2 series in preparation. I love it so much! Can't wait to find out how everyone is getting on.

AnyFucker · 10/03/2021 23:16

I am so looking forward to this new series

I found the first two so relaxing to watch, so affecting, so calming. Loved it.

Aspiringmatriarch · 10/03/2021 23:18

Yes! I love Shtisel. One of my favourite programmes, wonderful characters and humour and pathos. So pleased they've managed to make another series despite covid etc.

Andylion · 16/03/2021 21:33

Is anyone else doing a rewatch of seasons 1 and 2 in anticipation?

Can’t wait!

I read somewhere that is has jumped in time a few years, so expect there to be a lot of new babies. Am fascinated by the way it depicts a same but so very different life style. It was a real slowburner , be interesting to see if Netflix promotes it a bit harder.

Now all they need to do is put out another series or two of Life in Pieces and my cup of happiness will overflow.

barcodescanner · 17/03/2021 11:01

We were going to rewatch 1 and 2 but ran out of time, so we'll watch 3 and then watch the whole lot.
soap scriptwriters should watch this... No huge drama, no sex but still drawing people in to actually care about the characters

ursuslemonade · 23/03/2021 22:28

Oooh I've just seen the release date, made me so happy. Absolutely love Shtisel.

QueenOfPain · 23/03/2021 22:37

I loved it too, the soundtrack still pops up almost daily on my Spotify playlists.

Dream Searcher by Avi Belleli is the opening credits, just lovely.

I’ve found my people
I’m so excited
Scrugim on Amazon is good too, it’s about five friends living in Jerusalem.

celtiethree · 24/03/2021 18:31

Love it! Can’t wait.

Chocrock · 24/03/2021 20:52

ursuslemonade · 25/03/2021 09:50

beethecrackon24995 · 25/03/2021 10:05

bloody nora! i had no idea season 3 starts today. i agree in that i also found it really 'snug'/calming to watch. loved it to bits especially the grandmother :0)

celtiethree · 25/03/2021 10:55

Trying not to post spoilers but Episode 1 is heart wrenching. Oh my.

ursuslemonade · 25/03/2021 11:01

It is. Couldn't * get a bloody break? (hope it's not a spoiler)
I can foresee watching the new series in 2 days Shock

24hoursfromtulsa · 25/03/2021 14:48

I love Shtisel, and had no idea there was a new series until I went onto Netflix an hour ago.

I've just watched the first episode, so lovely to see all the characters again, I've missed them so much.

Trying not to spoil anything but I actually gasped in shock during this episode, then the tears came Sad

viques · 25/03/2021 15:47

Was really worried about watching the new episode after such a long gap. Some things seem different, the dreadful knitted berets seem to have gone from the women’s heads, but it still has the same vibe and gentle humour (half a plate, a small soup, when life hands you lemonade). But , as mentioned above, a bit of a shock which was well hidden in plain sight.

I was pleased btw that they have not landed Ruchami with a handful of children as I was expecting her to have several by now, and she is working and looks happy. Also pleased the cafe is still going, though I would be itching to paint those messy walls! Will Shulem avoid matchmakers this season? He seems to have got away with Nechama! I like that the baby is called after Akivas mum.

Not sure whether to binge or savour.

Andylion · 25/03/2021 18:16

I haven't read the last few posts as I am avoiding spoilers, but I am really looking forward to this tonight. I had a crappy day, (didn't get a job I really wanted and thought I had a good chance at) so this will be a very welcome distraction.

I've finished it. It was beautiful. Made me cry loads of times.

cushioncovers · 25/03/2021 21:20

Been waiting for this. Grin

LittleOldWineDrinker · 25/03/2021 21:59

I want to savour it so I'm being really strict with myself and only watching one episode a night. Just watched episode one and oh my goodness...my heart!
