It was fascinating, and really eerie.

Saw the first 15mins but must have briefly shut my eyes as next thing I saw were the credits! Will catch up on catch up. His voice has that effect on me as does Attenborough's 😒

I did, it was brilliant.

I remember Chernobyl happening so clearly when I was a teenager, it was utterly fascinating to see how it is now.

JustDanceAddict · 04/03/2021 12:48

Yes! Really fascinating. Recommend the Sky series too if you haven’t seen it yet.

notawittyname1954 · 04/03/2021 12:49

It was fascinating. I was amazed at that old lady that was still living there.

Toddlerteaplease · 04/03/2021 14:02

Yes, and d
The dog accompanying her on the accordion was just brilliant. Interesting that the people who have returned have lived longer than those who left.

I was fascinated. I hadn’t realised it was such a large area that was the exclusion zone.

So chilling.

I remember it happening, but was too young to appreciate the dangers.

Fridainexile · 04/03/2021 14:15

Amazing. Fascinated by the lady living in her little home.

VelveteenChair · 04/03/2021 14:19

Yes, it was brilliant and one of the best things he’s done. I will get DH and teenage DS to watch it over the weekend.

From the original Alan Partridge concept to delivering a masterful, insightful and downright historically significant piece of TV, well done Ben. And I’m neither his mum nor his wife.

HighlyStrungPuppet · 04/03/2021 14:36

I thought it was brilliant too, really interesting.

Terrifying that people have stolen things for souvenirs. To me that's worse than having a bomb in your house.

Pripyat would have been some city when it was thriving.

1940s · 04/03/2021 15:05

What channel please so I can find it on catch up?

VelveteenChair · 04/03/2021 15:31

Channel 5.

Thanks

Great programme. Loads of information about the disaster and the ongoing clean up. Also some interesting people, and animals!
