Autumnwatch fever has been brewing all week. We had finished tea in perfect time for tonight's programme and i am seriously disappointed that it was a repeat. DH & Ds were all ready to watch and this is obviously part of the BBc cost cutting exercise. Who do you think I can write to at the BBC?
Having said how disappointed I am, though, DS (age 3 yrs) who it is really aimed at, enjoyed it more this year I think than last year. I suppose it's his opinion that counts. As long as Bill, Kate & Simon don't disappoint tonight, or else the gloves are off!

sfxmum · 05/11/2007 19:51

oh really? I noticed it was the same theme tune but did not watch enough content to see if was a wholesale repeat. how annoying although dd is enjoying it

flowerfairy · 05/11/2007 20:04

Just checked the Cbeebies grown ups messages & their area few complaints about it being a complete repeat. As well as a few complaints about that Space pirates, monster cafe and melvin & millie music shop thing from the weekend.

I'm going to be challenging the BBC to conkers at dawn!!

flowerfairy · 05/11/2007 20:07

OOh dear sorry, didn't preview that, very didgy spellings.

flowerfairy · 05/11/2007 20:08

That was dodgy by the way. HAve cut finger and that's my excuse.again.

Raahh · 06/11/2007 17:37

I thought it was a repeat....I thought i was going a bit mad. it doesn't help that the 'whose in my patch' bits have been repeated on their own all year.

ds will still watch it, and i will still have to be irritated by Sienna (althouhg i know i am in the minority, and everyone else loves her) And it is educational, and ds gets very excited by Bill Oddie

Macdog · 06/11/2007 17:59

I was a bit disappointed that it's repeats.

I also don't understand why BBC feels need to dredge up awful programmes from days of yore (Monster Cafe, Melvin & Maureen etc)

Am also annoyed that the Red Stag rut is only the 'filler' so far this year.

And Bill Oddie's hair.....?

pinkteddy · 06/11/2007 18:36

I didn't realise Autumn watch was repeats - how disappointing. I only watched the beginning part tonight, dd seemed to enjoy it. You can email from bbc website, they always reply. I agree Macdog, that Melvin and Maureen thing truly awful! Looks very 80s don't know if it was made then!

bagpuss · 06/11/2007 18:41

Yes, we were so disappointed that Autumn watch is a repeat. I was quite excited about the song at the end as I think they are always very good ( ) and was sad to see it was a repeat .

hazeyjane · 06/11/2007 21:35

Its a repeat!!!! I would feel hoodwinked if it weren't for the fact that I missed it first time round.

I love the song, but my dh ruins it by giggling as he sings, "grab your marrow and come, grab your pumpkins and come.....", I tell you its like living with a schoolboy.
