I suspect the Officers' tins may have been form F&M but doubt the rest of the crew had that option!

If they did send tins they are carefully not admitting it on their history timeline, though did send comfort hampers to Suggragettes!!

Just watched the last episode. I have found it really interesting but preferred the book ending

Watched the final episode last night. What a let down.

The whole story line of the polar bear was just irrelevant and seems typical of the male adolescent view that films aren't interesting unless there is some stupid "horror" element.

The story would have been horrific enough to know that they probably all died a long lingering death (no walking out into a blizzard) of either scurvy or tin poisoning.

And the addition of some sort of psycho. The could have done so much for instance with those knowing they were going to die and what they were thinking, remembering.

I could just about accept the faint possibility of the Captain hiding from rescue and being returned to Victorian Britain, but only because my brain had ceased to be engaged with the "story".

Not enough grown ups in the production team.

Remember though that it's based on the book The Terror which is supposed to be of the horror genre. As I think I've previously commented, there were shades of Alien to it IMO. I guess maybe the makers of the series were expecting it to be more of a 'Boy's Own' adventure type of series rather than one that would attract a large female audience too?

I think I agree OP, it was a strange mix by the end of bleak and moving moments with increasingly ridiculous bear attacks.

Watching the last episode tonight, have been absolutely gripped! So much detail and incredibly good writing. Much more visceral than things I can usually tolerate, but for all that, it's not gratuitous. Can't bear to see how it plays out!

Oh God. No pun intended gets coat
