Recommendations for Ozark lover...

Just finished watching all three seasons of Ozark on Netflix. OMG, how good was that ?!! Gripping, brilliant acting, beautifully shot.
Any recommendations for anything similar that we can get our teeth into? DH and l are suffering withdrawal symptoms ;-)

Have you seen Bloodline?

No, do you recommend? As good as Ozark?

I watched a few episodes of bloodline once and didn't get in to it. Is it worth persevering? I loved Ozark as well.

Bloodline is okay, wouldn't say Ozark level good. I'd suggest

• True Detective
• Mindhunter
• Fargo

All a bit different (which is the point I guess) but have great acting and unusual, intriguing storylines that build.

Thank you Extrapepperoni - we've watched all the Fargo seasons (loved them!) but not seen any of the others. We've started watching Narcos but it's not really hitting the spot - but a friend also mentioned Mindhunter so I think we will try that!

Try The Americans on Prime - it's so good.

I’m on How to Get Away With Murder.

Not Ozark good, but a big cliffhanger at the end of every episode.

Although I’ve seen that it’s 5 seasons long, so Unless it’s a different story every season, then I may come back to re-evaluate.

Gomorrah on Now TV

Ozark is one of my favourite ever series but hard to match in terms of story and humour.

Also loved Fargo but I found Mindhunter a bit slow, quite good though.

I would recommend Unabomber Manhunt, Godless and The Sinner on Netflix. None are as funny though!

If you have NowTv, try The Newsroom, Succession or Billions.

Though I will presume you have seen this, and not be like me and my OH who only watched it last March in the first Lockdown!!!

Better call Saul is really good.

A bit more about the characters than ozark, but very good.

We’re only a couple of episodes in but Your Honour is really good so far

The Americans is my absolute favourite!

If you have Prime, Goliath with Billy Bob Thornton is good. Grim humour, quirky, seediness, little lawyers against big business.

Have mentioned this before but Get Shorty (the series) on Now Tv is great, also second the suggestion of Manhunt: unabomber and (not yet recommended) the Looming Tower, about the build up to the 9/11 attacks, a harrowing portrait on how the perpetrators were able to carry out the attack due to bureaucracy and fiefdoms within American intelligence but also with some richly drawn, human, flawed characters, a real eye-opener.

You may like Ray Donovan.

Anyone know when the fourth season is going to be on Netflix? They started filming last November.

Loved the Ozarks, are they making another series? True detectives first series has great acting, but it’s very dark . Narcos is brilliant but you might have seen it already.
