New trailer has dropped, It's released in the US on the 28th April so hopefully the UK won't be far behind.
I've been rewatching the previous 3 seasons during this lockdown - I'd forgotten so much!
I'm very much looking forward to S4 - praise be!

murbblurb · 26/02/2021 14:10

Hopefully the script will be online, Elisabeth Moss is the mumbliest actress ever.

ememem84 · 26/02/2021 14:11

What channel?

iklboo · 26/02/2021 14:13

Under his fruit
Blessings be his eye

There's a lady where we live who is the ABSOLUTE IMAGE of Aunt Lydia.

ofwarren · 26/02/2021 14:13

It will be channel 4 again. We usually get it a few weeks after the Americans on HULU

MooseyGoose90 · 26/02/2021 14:15

Does anyone know the best place to watch season 3?

I watched 1&2 on now TV but it’s not even on there anymore ☹️

Wannabangbang · 26/02/2021 14:16

I can't even remember what happened at the end of season 3 it's been so long

Pieceofpurplesky · 26/02/2021 14:44

I wonder if it will combine anything from The Testaments?

FrankiesKnuckle · 26/02/2021 15:01

@Pieceofpurplesky I hadn't thought of that. Think I'll have to reread!

OP posts:
KihoBebiluPute · 26/02/2021 15:04

@Pieceofpurplesky I am wondering the same - I just finished reading it. However, Elizabeth Moss's character would hardly be in it at all if that was the case, and it would need to be set a good 15 years or so later than the earlier seasons as "baby Nicole" is all grown up, whereas the trailer seems to show it as being set immediately after the events of the earlier seasons. I believe Margaret Atwood intended to write The Testaments in such a way that it would compliment and not contradict the events of the TV series without expecting to feed into the TV series directly.

I am super excited about S4. We're just in the middle of S2, rewatching them all ready for this.

I think it might be too soon for any Testaments stuff? I seem to remember reading a quote from one of the show makers about how they had loads of stuff to put into the TV show because 'there was 15 years to cover before they got to The Testaments. But some of the book referenced past events, so maybe there is some content that can be included earlier than the rest?

Gwenhwyfar · 26/02/2021 15:12

Any idea when it'll be on Netflix?

Twizbe · 26/02/2021 15:21

I think they might start laying some hints about aunt Lydia a d her role in the testaments (no spoilers for those who haven't read it)

It mentions in the history convention bit of the handmaids tale that a Fred Waterford disappeared during a purge shortly after the events of the book. I wonder if that will be explored more.

Pieceofpurplesky · 26/02/2021 15:57

That's what I was thinking twiz perhaps they will start to blend the characters (don't want to give spoilers)

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 26/02/2021 15:59

Love this show and really looking forward to it being back on!

I used the subtitles option when I watched it
gingercat02 · 26/02/2021 18:58

Oh excellent news. I didn't even know there was another one coming. Very exciting. Place marking. I hated the Testament

Douchebaggette · 26/02/2021 19:03

We've just sat down to watch an episode - the one in season 2 where the baby is unwell. I am struck (again) but how beautifully acted it is. Every single actor absolutely pulling their weight, in parts small and large.

Bilgepumper · 26/02/2021 19:37

My favourite series ever.

FrankiesKnuckle · 26/02/2021 20:18

@Douchebaggette Watching it again, I know the 'Big' things that happen so seeing the nuances more clearly this time. It's so beautifully shot too. Stunning bit of telly.
