Is there anything (TV or film) that I might have omitted? Generally prefer gritty/scary/tense stuff up to jolly/upbeat/comedy. Last TV series I watched was Luther, last film was Greenland.

Ah there are some good tips here! Started watching Bosch, and it's quite good. I love watching films in forrin, but have a logistical problem with it at the moment, as our TV is rather small and my eyesight is getting a bit shit.

The Fall (Netflix) and Des (ITV player or Iplayer) for series. Also Cobra Kai (Netflix) is amazing. Quite tame at first, but gets darker towards the end of series's 2 and 3.
