Breastfeeding binge watching shows

Need some ideas of programmes I can watch whilst breastfeeding/stuck under a sleeping baby. Ideally something I can follow easily and dip in and out of a bit if DD cries and I can’t hear what’s going on.

I’ve watched this is us, gossip girl, Gilmore girls, just finished rewatching desperate housewives so I’m after something equally as easy to watch. Have got Netflix and prime.

TIA

Riverdale is pretty good in a teen angst Dawson's Creek vibe, but with murder / mystery thrown in. Easy to watch & 'put down' again.

Little fires everywhere on Prime. I also enjoyed Black Sails but that's a swashbuckling adventure about pirates on the high seas so not sure if that's quite you're after...

Oh! It's a Sin on All4!! Amazing

I sat and watched all of the Gilmore Girls when my eldest was a new baby - this thread has bought back some very happy memories!

Other things you might like -
Schitts Creek
Parks and Rec
The Office
After Life
Derry Girls
The Crown
The Good Place

Greys Anatomy, This Is Us, Downton Abbey, Criminal Minds, Chicago Med depending on your genre of choice...

Oh yes OITNB is a good shout but I wouldn’t exactly call it easy watching 😬

NoGoodPunsLeft · 10/02/2021 15:17

Bones? I'm watching it and sometimes sleep through an episode or watch it whilst working and can still follow it.

FrenchieMomma · 10/02/2021 20:06

Thanks all, lots of suggestions to have a look at tomorrow. I’ve watched greys anatomy, bits of Chicago med, criminal minds. I tried OITNB but couldn’t get into it

Grace and Frankie or I've just finished Catastrophe. REALLY enjoyed it, was very funny and easy to watch.

Recently watched

Bridgerton - Netflix
Sweet Magnolias - Netflix
Virgin River - Netflix
Chesapeake Shores - Netflix
Schitt's Creek - Netflix

Bridgerton was a quick easy watch on Netflix. Not amazing but watchable.

The Queens Gambit is good, also on Netflix. Just 1 season with 7 episodes.

Pinkychilla · 11/02/2021 04:01

I always put the subtitles on so I can read it still at least if they are loud. I really enjoyed watching Jane the virgin and Heartlands on Netflix , also desperate housewives on amazon prime

Superstore on Netflix

I’m in the same boat and have also gone through your list Grin

Currently enjoying rewatching Brothers and Sisters on Prime and Chesapeake Shores on Netflix - both schmaltzy but easy watching.

Amichelle84 · 11/02/2021 08:02

This is us on prime is good and easy to follow. Firefly Lane, Dumplin on Netflix are good and easy to watch too.
I didnt have the mental capacity to follow anything new so ended up rewatching game of thrones which I have already watched.

Married at first sight Australia series 6 on ALL 4

Another vote for Married at First Sight Australia (Channel 4 catch up). My husband hates trashy tv but having caught the end of an episode, now makes us wait for him before we watch it...

Also The Queen's Gambit (Netflix) and Normal People (BBC, but don't watch near young kids as a lot of nudity and naughty business! I found it very moving).

abc31 · 11/02/2021 15:31

Also love Million Dollar Listing New York and LA plus Below Deck if you add Hayu to Amazon prime (think it's about £4 a month)

Himawarigirl · 13/02/2021 16:59

When I hear the thene music of OITNB it is instantly 2 am and I am breastfeeding my second as a newborn. Ah, memories. More recently I watched quite a bit of the good wife with number 3, and also the worlds most incredible homes. A bbc show but on Netflix and perfect as it doesn’t matter if you don’t catch every word. I watched cougar town as a feeding binge show with my first. So it’s older and I think my standards were probably lowered temporarily, but I enjoyed it. And of course, my constant feeding favourite, Friends.
