Massive TLK fan needing a stand in.

I love The Last Kingdom. Best series I've seen in ages. I've now finished series 4 and am reading the books, but I need something else to watch.

I liked barbarians.

I did not like Vikings, Black Sail, i hated Outlander. Tudors bored me.
I've watched a fair few of the films.

I'd like a series ideally with British history . The earlier the better. I prefer the battle scenes than boring love scenes.

I know I'm picky but any ideas? I have Prime and Netflix.

Weirdly I loved Vikings but couldn’t get on with TLK! In theory we should enjoy both!

Pillars of the Earth is set around the building of a medieval Cathedral, there’s politics and fighting. I believe it’s free to watch on the channel 5 player. It’s got Eddie Redmayne before he got big!

I can’t really think of anything else, but I would love to find something like that too.

Ive gone a bit d scho so film based on Shakespeare but modern language.

How about Wolf Hall? I really enjoyed it, every scene is like an oil painting. There’s not much action though!

I didnt mind wolf hall. I acrually got the holliw crown through Ebay for £4. It arrived today m I'll watch the girst after the rugby and will report back.
