Gilmore Girls for 11 year old? And similar programme recommendations?

I started re watching Gilmore Girls and my 11 year old DS stopped for a bit to watch it and seemed to really like it. What we watched was all pretty funny and wholesome but I can't remember if it stays like that - or do the story lines get a bit more grown up?

Also I wonder if there are any other young teen/preteen dramas he might like.

It’s the usual teen dramas. There’s a plot in season 4 where Rory sleeps with dean - her married ex boyfriend.

I don't remember sex in it but I guess it makes sense. Probably a bit too grown up for 11.
