Yes, we've all seen it (and if you haven't then you're in for a treat).
Yes, it's on I Player.
But I for one will watch it again, and lap it up.
Best drama ever. So it is wee fella Grin
Anyone else?

Can't believe I called her Lesley instead of Lindsay upthread.

She is a flawed character, makes for uncomfortable viewing. Which is why she's so mesmerising. Hawes in brilliant.

I completely agree @ageingdisgracefully brilliant writing and brilliant acting. You have to listen to every word and nuance and have a good memory for faces (which I lack). Bringing back a character from series 1 to series 6, the same actor but unrecognisable, was a stroke of genius. That is why I'm watching this one so carefully again.

Totally totally agree.

When I re watched Series 1 recently, knowing exactly a key character from series 5 almost certainly going in to 6 was from the very start, it all clicks in to place

Love love LOD and I wouldn’t be surprised if s6 plays right after this one because there’ll be a thread tying in to that one

Violetroselily · 07/02/2021 15:24

I started watching LoD when S2 first aired so it will always be my favourite I think. Mark Bonnar as Dryden was just fantastic.

Definitive ranking is series from best to worst:
2
3
1
4
5

Let's hope 6 is up there

DarceyDashwood · 07/02/2021 19:17

I would say:

2
3
4
5
1

I think. Can’t wait for 6!

Also agree about Mark Bonnar. I think his interview scheme is the best of them all!
SuburbanCrofter · 07/02/2021 19:45

Ah yes, Lindsay Denton and her Fringe of Fuckitude - as it was memorably referred to on here Grin

ageingdisgracefully · 07/02/2021 19:57

I have a bit of a crush on Mark Bonnar since he was Bruno Jenkins in Casualty back in the day. Blush.

His unravelling in the interview scene was pure Mercurio. Great acting, great writing.

My order of preference I think is 23145. I think the production values noticeably changed in s4 and 5.

I love the way the storylines arch like Ryan in S1 popping up again in S5 (same actor),

My favourite themes are the unravelling of Gates, the downfall of Dryden, Dot and his wooing of Kate with his everlasting chilli, and the uncovering of events at Sands' View.

I think the reason LOD is standout is because of its depth, its ambiguity, and its touches of black humour.

No matter how many times I watch, there's always something different which i hadn't noticed before.

Brilliant stuff. Counting the hours to S6!

Season finale of season 3 is some of the best Tv ever filmed

Bloody hell, yes I remember Bruno from Casualty!!

MasterCaution · 09/02/2021 06:00

I just binge watched 1-5 back to back on Netflix to get ready for 6.

Also, there are some good podcasts called Shrine of Duty to feed the LoD addiction in the meantime.
