Not sure if this is the right place, but let's see.

My 2 year old DD is obsessed by Joseph. We've seen the Donny Osmond one many many many times now.

She likes musicals in general and has a few favourite songs. She likes everything's alright from Jesus Christ superstar and high flying adored from evita. I'm not sure either is suitable for her to watch the whole way through though.

Does anyone have any ideas of musicals she can see the whole of other than Joseph or Disney?

She doesn't like cats. I tried but she just says 'no sad cat song'

Mine loves Annie (the original we've not seen the remake)
She also likes The Sound of Music
Mamma Mia film
Joseph , like yours
Trolls
Mary Poppins
The Greatest Showman

Mary poppins! Why didn't I think of that one?! Sister suffragette is a great song.

Sound of music is good choice too.

We did hairspray the other day as well which she enjoyed.

purpleme12 · 02/02/2021 19:33

Also. Mine is not interested in Grease the film but she does like listening to the songs

Chitty Chitty bang bang, although the child catcher bit might be too much for her

Meet me in St Louis
Or
Seven Brides
Or
Oliver
Or
The original Willy wonka

High School Musical?

purpleme12 · 02/02/2021 20:30

I. Tried mine with that and she was bored
I doing think there's very many songs in it

PaquitaVariation · 02/02/2021 20:32

Mine loved the old musicals when they were younger - Calamity Jane, singin in the rain, bed knobs and broomsticks

ImAllOut · 02/02/2021 20:33

No sad cat song is how we all feel about Cats to be honest.

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 02/02/2021 20:36

Chitty chitty bang bang, perhaps with a skip for the child catcher scene.

Rubytinsleslippers · 02/02/2021 20:37

Mary Poppins returns as well as the original
Willie wonka
Calamity Jane
Annie
Phantom
Oliver
Frozen

fannyFERNACKERPANN · 02/02/2021 20:59

Annie and Matilda

Twizbe · 02/02/2021 21:35

These are great suggestions thank you.

I'll be rocking these out over the next few days for sure.

She has started to sing along to some songs in Joseph... it's so cute

You can't show a two year old Oliver! I had to scramble for the remote a few weeks ago just as Bill sykes was about to batter Nancy
How about bedknobs and broomsticks?
