Download to laptop

Does anyone know if you can download films from Netflix/Disney to a laptop?
I know you can to a tablet, but not sure to a laptop?
Going into hospital for around a month soon and the WiFi isn’t great so they’ve suggested downloading rather than streaming.

I tried a few years ago when the last season of GoT was out. I couldn't download from Netflix, only on Sky. Not sure if things have changed since.

It looks like you have put an app on your laptop to do this, on Apple it would be in the App Store, I guess Windows must have a similar app place too,

I’ve tried googling it and it says about an app too. Will have to try and look further into it.
A tablet seems easier, but we don’t make much use of the one we have, think we’d make more use of a laptop.

I know when DH wanted to watch Sky on his laptop he had to put an app on it, he couldn't just use the Sky website
