But isn't it strange that they're allegedly all whittled down from tens of thousands of applicants and supposedly chosen based on their compatibility. Yet most of them are actors, models or celeb wannabe's. If it was a genuine selection process then they would just be regular people with normal jobs.

I wouldn’t mind game game wannabes and actorrrrrrrs in it. As long as they were actually looking for love.

But scouting folk because they’re pretty, beefy, intense, boxed frog like is shameful.

They must get heaps of applicants and yet they go for scripted mince and shockhorrorprobe dramas.

They jumped every kind of shark this series. Fish. Crustacean. Plankton. Everything.

It would be slightly more believable if the Fonz waterskied along the Gold Coast in full view of an arguing Heidi and Mike.

Oh my god I've just caught up. Cyrels out burst in the next episode!!!! She's so aggressive and far too full of drama. I feel sorry for her husband as he seems like a nice guy.

I haven't watched Sam's Instagram video but I've seen the interview Ines did whereby she claims it's all fake and quote: "I'm sorry to disappoint. I know a lot of you a really crazy MAFS fans, and they think it's fully real. But you're playing a character and it's a lot to carry that character"

But surely this is no big shocker, I don't think anyone on here, or anywhere else, believed in the Sam and Ines romance from the start, and nor do we care if she shagged Sam for real or not, what people don't like is their appalling treatment of Elizabeth and Bronson. Or are they both claiming that every word they said when they were being utter cunts was in the script.

It isn’t a shocker that they were scripted. I’ve never seen such a weird connection/conversation/touch between the departed two.

Someone said up thread that it was all the bad bits of mills and boon/channel5 afternoon romance/Jackie or somesuch. It wasn’t far off.

And if Pob’s relationship advice to Heidi is owt to go by, then he probably bloody wrote that script.

What is deeply shocking to me is that anyone would agree to be portrayed in that way. Fine in Home and Away - ridiculously stupid for a reality tv programme because people will think it real. Look at the threats Ines received. There isn’t enough bunce in the world for that.

As someone said, I do think Ines’s reactions were cut and pasted to fit the script. Sam just oozed cockiarse though. Not much acting required from him. Ines? Used to putting on her shell.

I think Bronson and Lizzie were in on it too though. He was scripted as being utterly oblivious to Ines’s indifference. He would have to be a stone not to notice it.

Lizzie and her cockatoo/parakeet/ostrich flapping? And flapping eyes and over reactions? Cant help but believe that was a great side of hamminess.

I am probably reading too much into it.

Last series seemed so much more believable.

Have also watched Sam's film. Believe what he says about being manipulated. Didn't know they got paid a fee to go on. A stronger person would have maintained their dignity and integrity though. Providing they have some to begin with

I was loving the show but I don't know if I'll stick with it until the end. We know it's scripted but it's so obviously so that it's difficult to watch.

Would ‘normal’ people apply for this sort of exposure - def not! That’s prob why it’s populated w insta influencers, plastic surgery addicts etc.

I think Billy looks a bit like Suzy’s dad - obv 30 years younger.

To me, if they manipulate the relationships to the extent they are doing, they will never get your ordinary Joe or Sheila.

Stop manipulating, get decent experts in and choose people who are desperately wanting to find love.

Not the pouters, preeners, ones full of ham or cheese and folk who have done some acting.

They are ruining it. And I’ve still not watched it. And I used to really look forward to watching it as soon as I got in.

They seem to in the UK version. They're just normal people taking part in an experiment to find love. At least that's how they come across.

Yep. I'm totally bored with it now. I'd been recording it and whizzing through it in 20 minutes. Can't even be bothered with that now. It's all just ridiculous. It's not an ixperiment at all.

I have only seen this series of MAFSA, never a Uk version, it’s good there are average people on that though.

And i liked some of her attitude. I mean why should she care what Cyrell thinks of her? Bronson yes, but the rest of the group? its probably true for most people of large groups but we pretend to care most of the time.

Cyrell is pretty fabulous integrity wise. But I could not be at all arsed with the drama. She goes into ubergobshite and though I admire the reason behind it, if I was in the same room as it, I’d be off. And my eyebrow would be raising that much it would be dusting the back of my knee.

And the clip? Wtaf? Why is Cyrell walking to the lift like she’s packing meat and two veg?
